MGA Label

Application

Due to its fast print drying, the ink can also be used for cast-coated or metallized papers and boards for faster finishing.

Your Benefits

As a result of the very good oxidative drying and the special care taken when selecting the raw materials used, this new ink series has no tendency to swell the printed material, making it especially suitable for printing on thin polyolefin films and therefore for IML (In-Mould Labels) or IML segment.

Special Properties

  • Printing ink series designed for use on the non-food contact side of food packaging
  • Good oxidative drying
  • Printing ink for food contact materials (FCM ink) according to the EuPIA definition
  • Minimal swelling characteristics when applied to polyolefin films
  • MGA Label inks are produced in line with stringent GMP/MGA rules in segregated, specifically adapted production areas
  • Risk analysis of the production workflow
  • Analytical quality control testing of the batches
  • 100% batch tracing throughout the entire production chain, right through to the raw materials
  • Mineral oil-free formulation
  • Excellent rub resistance
  • Good Gloss

Additional Information

MGA LABEL inks are specially formulated for printing on the non-food contact surface of food packaging taking into account the relevant requirements, e.g. Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and SR 817.023.21
Drying on non-absorbent substrates usually takes very long even if special inks are used. Please note, that drying on films will still take 24-72 hours, dependent on the amount of oxygen available for the ink. Small stacks and decollating the sheets by hand every hour can reduce the drying time to a minimum.
During oxidative drying, volatile by-products are generated which may affect the organo-leptic properties. We urgently recommend that you test the organoleptic properties of your finished packaging. You may possibly have to ventilate the stack.
