Kirchheim Mayor Stephan Keck visits hubergroup

On March 11, Kirchheim Mayor Stephan Keck and Sibylle Wartlick (Economic Development & Mobility Officer) visited the 260-year-old traditional company hubergroup. The internationally active printing ink and specialty chemicals manufacturer has been based in the municipality of Kirchheim since 1965 and moved into offices on Sonnenallee in 2019.

As an important training company for the municipality, hubergroup trains ink laboratory assistants and chemical laboratory assistants, among others. Last year, trainee Lisa Fröschl not only achieved an outstanding result – she even achieved the best grade in her field nationwide. She was officially honoured by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Berlin in December. Stephan Keck and Sibylle Wartlick congratulated her on behalf of the municipality of Kirchheim/Heimstetten in the presence of Robert Antonitsch (member of the hubergroup management board). During the subsequent tour of the hubergroup laboratories, they were able to see the company's high-tech research and development for themselves. Laboratory head Dr Maximilian Krempe gave a detailed and clear explanation of how products are developed and tested at hubergroup.

Most of the printing inks are used for printing on all types of packaging. High quality standards are particularly important in food packaging. hubergroup is a driving force behind innovative sustainable printing inks that are approved for direct contact with food, as no ingredients from the ink are transferred to the food.

hubergroup has production facilities in Italy, Poland and India and employs around 3,000 people. Approximately 160 employees work at the group headquarters in Sonnenallee. hubergroup takes on new trainees every year.
