For safe printing on the inside of paper and cardboard food packaging.

MGA CONTACT

Application

Together with the matching dispersion varnish, MGA CONTACT is allowed to be in direct contact with food. The sheet-fed offset ink series is therefore suitable for safe printing on the inside of food packaging made of paper and cardboard. Additional functional barriers are not necessary. In printing, MGA CONTACT achieves the same process stability as other MGA ink series, so no adjustments are necessary for printers. Furthermore, the colour gamut and colour fastness of the ink series are also comparable to those of conventional offset inks.

Your Benefits

With MGA CONTACT you get twice as much space for your messages as you can also print on the inside of your food packaging. As an ECG (Extended Colour Gamut) series, the ink series also covers a wide colour gamut. So you can give free rein to your creativity.

Special Properties

  • Suitable for contact with foodstuffs for which TENAX is intended as a simulant in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
  • Ink series for printing on food packaging made of paper and cardboard, where the printed side may come into contact with dry and dry/fatty food
  • Global migration < 10 mg/dm²
  • Excellent values in the sensory evaluation of printed products in the Robinson test (EN 1230 T1 and T2)
  • Suitable for the production of food packaging that complies with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and also meets US FDA specifications.
  • Stable ink-water balance in the press
  • Fast absorption behaviour
  • Since the inks do not dry by oxidation, no substances are produced that are noticeable to the senses, such as short-chain aldehydes. Printed products produced with MGA CONTACT are therefore also low in hexanal.
  • Mineral oil free formulation
  • The series is not intended for contact with liquid foodstuffs due to the poor resistance of the possible substrates.
